Will you be my pet’s primary veterinarian?
As a specialist in integrative therapies, I focus on treatments that may not be typically offered by conventional veterinarians. I strongly recommend that all pets have a primary veterinarian for their routine care needs. My services are best suited for pets and their families who are seeking alternative or complementary approaches to address conditions that may not be effectively managed through traditional Western veterinary medicine, who are experiencing side effects from conventional treatments, or senior pets that need a more personalized and more peaceful approach to veterinary care.
What’s the difference between a regular vet and a holistic vet?
Integrative veterinary medicine blends traditional Western veterinary practices with complementary approaches like holistic and alternative therapies. As a specialist, I’ve undergone advanced training beyond my core veterinary education, offering services that many primary veterinarians may not provide. While I don’t replace your primary veterinarian, my services work alongside their care to provide a more comprehensive approach to your pet’s well-being. Door to Door Pet Doctor offers in-home services, allowing you to actively participate in your pet’s healing journey.
What is your veterinary philosophy?
I am a strong advocate for an integrative approach to pet care, combining traditional Western veterinary medicine with complementary therapies like acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, and physical therapy. I believe it’s crucial for all my patients to have a primary veterinarian. This collaborative approach allows me to leverage the valuable insights from their diagnostics and test results, ultimately enhancing the effectiveness of my treatments and improving your pet’s overall health outcomes. I believe in treating the whole patient not just to cook book a problem. I believe in treating and making recommendations for your pet with how I would treat my own pet. I will care for your pet as if they were my own and will make accommodations accordingly.
Do you give vaccines?
I do not administer vaccines, but I strongly recommend that pets get the appropriate vaccines as determined by their primary veterinarian.
